Summer is here, and most lockdown restrictions have been eased in Northern Michigan. We’re open to everyone, as we have been throughout this ordeal. Now, though, we’re seeing people on vacation, riding ATVs, fishing, kayaking, traveling, enjoying Northern Michigan summer. Fewer guests are doctors and nurses who need to isolate themselves.
If you are a doctor, nurse, or working directly exposed to COVID-19 people, and need a place to stay, please call us to discuss how we might help.
We’ve had a full house, no vacancy, for the last several weekends. Call ahead, at least several days ahead, if you have plans up here.
We’re continuing with disinfecting and distancing protocols as we have since March, described on our front page. Michigan overall, and especially Northern Michigan, is currently enjoying a low incidence of COVID-19 infections. We’re not relaxing our disinfection protocols, though, since there is a good chance of a re-emergence of infections.
We think this is the safest hotel/motel in the area, and we’re working to keep it that way.
While you’re up here, though, please keep a few things in mind:
- Housekeeping is limited, we’ll largely stay out of your rooms while you’re here. Towels and stuff by request, just call us.
- Please give our housekeepers and staff a respectful social distance. We’re trying to keep them safe.
- Lots of our guests gather and socialize together, it is part of our charm, but please be respectful if another group seems to prefer to keep to themselves.
We’ve never regretted moving to Grayling and taking over this motel in the 18 years we’ve been here. It’s especially true this year. We can’t think of a place we’d rather be. So come on up and enjoy a safe vacation full of all the naturally-socially-distant activities the area has to offer.
